Every great journey begins with a single moment. For Maholi, it began on a freezing Toronto morning in 1994 when our founder noticed a long lineup outside a bedding store on Spadina Avenue. Curious, he parked his car and asked what everyone was waiting for. The answer was simple: "Duvets."
With a background in economics, he immediately recognized an opportunity to help Canadians stay warm through expertly crafted bedding. Together with his wife, they founded Maholi with a simple mission—to create Canadian-made bedding that delivers exceptional warmth, comfort, and lasting quality for every season.

What began in 1994 with winter duvets designed to help Canadians stay warm has grown into more than 30 years of Canadian bedding craftsmanship. Joined the Down Association of Canada
Maholi became a Board Member of the Down Association of Canada, reinforcing our commitment to quality, transparency, and the responsible manufacturing of down bedding in accordance with Canadian industry standards.
2000
A New Home for Canadian Craftsmanship
Maholi relocated to a 60,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility in East York, Ontario, expanding our production capabilities and strengthening our ability to serve retailers and sleepers across Canada with greater efficiency.
