Who We Are

Maholi Inc. has manufactured bedding in Toronto since 1994. Under that name, we make four house brands in our own facility: Ambassador, Canadian comfort at a competitive price; Royal Elite, our everyday Canadian-made line; our Maholi flagship collection, hand-finished Eiderdown and Prestige duvets; and Yorklinen, our sustainable line including recycled European down. Materials, craftsmanship level and price point are what set them apart.

Certified at Every Step

DOWNMARK®

The certification that specifically verifies Canadian finishing with genuine down. Lead with this one; it's the strongest answer to "are you actually Canadian, or just saying that."

RDS®

(IDFL TE-99972106) Ensuring responsible animal welfare practices and traceability throughout the supply chain — so you can enjoy exceptional comfort with greater confidence.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

The textile has been independently tested for over 1,000 harmful substances and found safe for direct skin contact. This one is about what actually touches your skin at night.

AEPO Free

APEOs can break down into nonylphenol, a chemical that can mimic oestrogen and interfere with your hormones. Our APEO-free processing offers a cleaner, more carefully considered duvet— so you can sleep with peace of mind, night after night.

Made in Canada FAQs

Which bedding brands are made in Canada?

Royal Elite, Maholi, Yorklinen and Ambassador are all manufactured in our own facility in Canada. Our down and feather products, pillows and sheets are made in-house; a small number of specialty items are sourced globally.

Is Maholi bedding made in Canada?

Yes. Maholi has manufactured bedding in Toronto since 1994, and our down and feather duvets, pillows and sheets are made in our own facility.

What does DOWNMARK® certification mean?

DOWNMARK® independently verifies that a product uses genuine, high-quality down and feather finished in Canada. It's one of the few certifications that specifically confirms Canadian finishing, not just sourcing.

Is Canadian-made bedding better quality?

Manufacturing in-house means direct control over materials and construction at every step, rather than relying on a third-party factory. It also means shorter supply chains and verifiable sourcing, which is why certifications like RDS and DOWNMARK matter alongside the "made in Canada" claim itself.

What sets Maholi apart?

We make every major fill — goose down, duck down, sheets in our own Toronto facility, across four brands spanning entry-level to ultra-luxury pricing. Most Canadian bedding brands sell one or two fills; we make the full range under one roof, and we're the only Canadian duvet brand featured on CNN.
