Cotton Shell
Soft 400TC Cotton Sateen Shell
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Certified
Durable. Soft. No Leaking.
The smooth 400-thread-count cotton sateen shell is tightly woven for softness, breathability and down-proof performance. It helps keep the fill securely inside while allowing the goose down to loft freely.

Fill Power Difference
725 vs. 850 Fill Power: Which Should I Choose?
725 Fill Power — premium loft and lightweight warmth with a slightly fuller feel.
850 Fill Power — larger, more efficient down clusters for exceptional loft and an even lighter feel at a comparable warmth level.
Higher fill power does not automatically mean a warmer duvet. Warmth also depends on how much down is used, which is why both fill powers are available in Summer, All Season and Winter weights.

Baffle Box Construction
Hand-Sewn 3D Baffle Box Construction
Baffle-box construction uses internal fabric walls to create three-dimensional chambers for the down to loft fully while helping keep the fill evenly distributed.
Compared with simple sewn-through construction, baffle boxes reduce compression along the seams for more consistent insulation across the duvet.

Your Canadian Hutterite White Goose Down Duvet Questions Answered
Is this a duvet, duvet insert or a comforter?
Both terms refer to the same product. In Canada and the UK it's called a duvet; in the United States it's commonly called a down comforter or duvet insert. The Canadian Hutterite White Goose Down Duvet is a duvet insert designed to be used inside a duvet cover, though it can also be used on its own.
What makes Hutterite goose down better than regular down?
Hutterite geese are raised to full maturity by Hutterite farming communities in Alberta, Canada. Mature geese develop larger, more resilient down clusters than the younger birds used for most commercial down. Larger clusters trap more air, producing higher loft, better insulation per ounce, and longer-lasting performance than standard duck or goose down.
How do I clean a Hutterite goose down duvet?
Do not machine wash. We recommend a dry cleaner that specializes in down bedding, with spot cleaning for minor spills. Between cleanings, air the duvet outdoors away from direct sun for a few hours, then tumble on a no-heat fluff setting and shake to restore loft. Using a duvet cover greatly extends time between cleanings.
Will the down shift or clump over time?
No. The duvet uses baffle box construction — internal fabric walls that create three-dimensional chambers, keeping the down evenly distributed while allowing it to fully loft. This prevents cold spots and the migration of fill toward the edges that occurs in cheaper channel-stitched comforters.
Do I need a duvet cover?
We recommend one. A duvet cover protects the 400 thread count cotton sateen shell from body oils and dust, extending the life of the duvet and the time between professional cleanings. Corner tabs on every Royal Elite duvet tie into your cover to keep it securely in place.
How long will this duvet last?
With proper care, a premium Hutterite goose down duvet lasts decades — mature-goose down clusters are notably more durable than standard fills. Every Royal Elite duvet is backed by a 30-Year Limited Warranty and crafted in Canada by a team with over 30 years of down expertise.
