The fabric matters more than the thread count. A 310 thread count bamboo sateen will feel cooler and more fluid than a 600 thread count cotton, because fibre type and weave drive how a sheet behaves — not the number on the package. Use the table below to match a set to how you actually sleep.

Percale vs. Sateen vs. Bamboo: What's the Difference?
These three weaves account for every sheet set we make, and the choice between them comes down to one question: do you sleep hot or do you want smooth? Percale is the crisp, cool, hotel-bed feel. Sateen is the silky, drapey feel with a soft sheen. Bamboo is the coolest and most fluid of the three.

Thread count is only comparable within the same fibre. Bamboo fibres are finer than cotton, so a 310 thread count bamboo sheet feels softer and cooler than a cotton sheet at the same number.
Sheet Sizes and Deep-Pocket Fit
The most common reason a fitted sheet fails isn't size — it's depth. Mattresses have grown, and a pillow-top or hybrid can easily reach 16 to 18 inches with a topper on it. Measure your mattress from the seam at the top to the seam at the bottom, including any topper, then add two inches of margin.

Measure from the top seam of your mattress to the bottom seam, including any mattress topper or protector, then allow about two inches of margin so the fitted sheet tucks and grips properly. 15" and 17" depths are available on our Organic Cotton Sateen and Percale sets; 15" and 18" on Damask Stripe.
