Now we have two of these - wonderful and ethical!

This was our second purchase of a Royal Elite Recycled European Down Comforter so we now have two. It is a quality product - would never buy a comforter without true baffle box construction - and I love knowing we supported down recycling and reduced the demand for new down. I hope to see more recycled down product offerings in the future. Thanks, Maholi!

This was a big splurge for me and I was hesitant to take it out of the box. I'm in upstate NY and my bedrooms are pretty cold. I'd been using a very thick cotton filled comforter with flannel sheets and running a little electric heater so far this winter. I finally unboxed the Maholi down comforter. I got the 400 TC after speaking to a representative about my concerns around "crinkly noise". The 400TC is still a little crinkly, but I haven't had a chance to test it with my sleeping partner yet. I am sooooo curious how it compares to the 280TC in that way. So...I got into bed, I was a little unsure about the noisiness of it. I thought "hmm, maybe I'll have to return it, we'll see." But then I just started to get so wonderfully cozy and warm and I swear I had a better night's sleep because of it. The difference in sleep, warmth and peacefulness compared to the cotton comforter I was using is profound.

As a vegan, I am thrilled that this is recycled. That's part of why I waited so long as I didn't feel good about buying new down. Recycled down is hands down the most eco-friendly and humane option out there (since the toxic manufacturing of synthetic filling just kills animals in the environment), other than organic cotton or hemp, which just isn't warm enough in the winter. I also considered wool, but reviews I read didn't find it as warm as down. This comforter ticks every box. There is no way this is going back, crinkle or no! Merry Christmas to me! :D

    Thumbs up for recycled down

We really love this duvet! Super luxurious feel and very warm. We were on the fence about down and chose this one because it’s recycled. Glad we did! Great investment that we can feel good about.

Purchased as a gift for my daughter. She is very happy with the comforter. (Royal Elite Recycled European Down in full/queen). I was thrilled to find a manufacturer utilizing recycled down.
